About Us – House of Bread Community Church

Our Story

Founded in 2012 by Pastor James Destine, House of Bread Community Church (HOBCC) is a bible-based church located in Taunton, MA, that serves God and is centered around God’s sovereignty. HOBCC is a place where God’s people surrender to God’s sovereignty and fellowship through biblical preaching and teachings that deliver the undiluted Word both in and out of season. HOBCC is building Godly disciples and creating a deep fellowship of faith and service among the body of Christ. HOBCC reaches to the broader community through its mission work in Haiti. HOBCC continues to grow to meet the needs of the body of Christ and warmly welcomes people and families.

Our Focus

Joyous Worship:

Praise and worship at House of Bread is a time where the congregation can experience the powerful love of God. We surrender ourselves in spirit and in truth and focus our worship on God. Our hope is that you can experience the personal touch of God and be blessed by the renewing of your spirit.

Study of the Word of God

At House of Bread, God’s people surrender to God’s sovereignty and fellowship through biblical preaching and teachings that deliver the undiluted Word both in and out of season. Understanding the word of God is key for every believer because it is the foundation of our faith. We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God, a book that is alive and relevant to life today. Through the Word we come to understand God’s will and to recognize God’s voice in our lives.

Outreach & Evangelism

House of Bread is a church that serves the local community while reaching across borders through our international mission work. We show the love of God by meeting the needs of God’s children and offering God’s hope to a suffering world.

Family & Christ Centered

We are a church that loves families and the unique individuals that make them up. Through Christ-centered activities and programs we look forward to getting to know you and your loved ones.
