Transition

Change
Complication
Stress

Transition is always stressful:

even the ones you are looking forward to

Stepping into the unknown.

Knowing what’s next does not necessarily mean you are prepared for what’s next.
There is no necessary correlation between knowing what’s next and being prepared for what’s next.

“I, ___, take you, ___, for my lawful wife/husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part.”

“This I promise…”

I do not mean I can or I should.

“I am open to it.”

People are not divorced because they walked into marriage not willing to do the “I do”
People are divorced because they walked into marriage not prepared to do the “I do”

Knowing what’s next does not bring success;

…preparing for what’s next brings success.

How to prepare for what’s next?
James 1:22

Do not merely draft a good plan of action;
Do not merely come to meetings and give good grandiose ideas.

The blessings are not in the hearing.
James 1:22
Luke 6:46-49
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.

Do what it says.

The foundation of any successful endeavor is not in the planning, not in the grandiose ideas.

But in the doing.

What do you need to do?
